As most of you know I am planning on taking my PANRE in early June. It’s getting towards the end of May and yes I’m starting to panic a little. Not much, but a little.
In today’s session I briefly discuss how I am specifically preparing for the PANRE. I cover the tools I am using and how I am using them. Like I have maintained from the beginning, I don’t think anyone needs tools. I don’t think anyone needs a course. I do however think that all of these things can make your studying faster and more effective.
Here are some links to things I discussed today as well as some things I forgot to mention.
Coffitivity – This web app makes it sound like your in a coffee shop. Great for focus. I’m using it right now!
Timesheet – This is an android app for tracking your time. It’s really nice and easy to add simple notes for each study session.
VLC – This is a video or audio player for your desktop that allows you to speed up or slow down as you watch or listen.
SpeedupTV – This one does cost $2.99, however it lets you adjust playback speed on your ipad. This has been extremely valuable to me so far and I highly recommend it if your using video to review.
Study Blue – This is a web app that allows you to make flashcards. It also has a really nice android and ios app. I’ve been creating flashcards in excel using two columns and uploading them to study blue.
UMDNJ Online Review Course – For the most part I have really been enjoying these lectures I think they have saved me a ton of time.
I don’t think I will be releasing any new review sessions before the beginning of July. I will most likely take a little time off and spend some time with my family before restarting the show. Good Luck to all of you who are taking your exam sooner, and thank you to all of you who have shared encouraging stories and emails.
