I’ve been doing a lot of Peloton workouts lately. We got the bike early this year. I’ve loved it, and the app that goes with it is great.
Yesterday, I was doing a yoga class and the preceptor said something that made me want to smash the screen with a brick.
“You are enough. Let go of your relationships. Let go of your achievements. Even without that, you are enough.”
Are you friggen kidding me? You just laying there on the couch are enough? No way.
Scott Adams has a great line about this. He hates it when people say, “Just be yourself.”
He will commonly rant saying, “Why would you want to be you? Why wouldn’t you want to be a better version of you? Why not be the best version of you?”
I don’t know about you, but I’m not depressed or sad when I’m moving. When I create, build, or accomplish, when I laugh and play with my family, I can’t be down.
I’m only down when I’m just being me. I’m only down when I’m not learning or growing or getting better or creating.
If you’re happy with being you, that’s great. If you want to grow and get better, I’m here to help. I’d LOVE to help.
A great place to get started is with the Physician Assistant Exam Scholars Newsletter. In the November issue, I’m going to teach where to start when you’re studying, so that you’re not overwhelmed.
Get started and Get better.
