Have you been practicing or wallowing? You can still wallow from time to time for a bit, but I think the time to wallow is pretty much over.
You can be sad about the things you missed and are missing, but either way, here we are. You’re there and I’m here.
Jim Rohn used to talk about the seasons and the wind and the rain and the sun. He’d say, “This is what you’ve got to work with. If your planting, you’ve got the seasons; you’ve got the wind and the rain and the sun and the soil. That’s what you’ve got. If you spend all of your time blaming the wind and the rain and the sun and the soil, then you’re blaming all you’ve got.”
And when you blame all you’ve got, what do we call that? Mistake colossal.”
I love it. Makes me laugh every time I listen to that old talk.
We can blame the virus, we can blame distance-learning, we can blame Trump, we can blame China… but it doesn’t matter. This is what we’ve got. Here we are. What are you going to do with what you’ve got?
Why do we have to take the PANCE? It’s so dumb. When you blame the people who make the PANCE, what do I call it? Mistake colossal.
You can be mad, but what does that anger get you? I’ll tell you what it gets you: worse scores.
Embrace the wind and the rain and the sunshine and the seasons. Embrace the isolation, embrace the PANCE.
Why not try that philosophy on for size and see if it doesn’t serve you better? You don’t have to use it forever. You can test drive it for a month or so and see how it feels. If you don’t like it, return it.
I offer that guarantee on all of my products. Including the Physician Assistant Exam Scholar Newsletter. Try it on. If it doesn’t suit you, return it. No worries.
