Which tools and how many?

Don’t just use tools to use tools.Use them because they fit into a system, into a philosophy of learning. If you two standard review books, you always feel like you’re missing something. So you study more.

“A man with two watches never knows what time it is.” – Old Chinese proverb (at least according to the poster at boy scout camp)

Hopping between books makes you feel like they are leaving out important details.Usually, they aren’t. When you create a review book, you have to get rid of a lot of non-essentials.You will likely toss out a few essentials, but that’s OK. You’re not trying to get a 100%.If you miss one little tidbit, it’s OK.

Ever hear of the law of diminishing returns?

My backyard stays wet for weeks after a rainstorm. All of the water pools in the back at one side of my yard.It then slowly drains down in the rest of my yard over the next few days. It’s a mess, and the kids can’t play out there for two or three days after a sprinkle.

Last spring, we had a drain put in.The guys came and dug a long trench through the clay (uggh). The put a drain in and connected the downspouts from my house and my neighbor’s house into it.This past weekend, we had more rain than I could believe. It poured for 48 hrs straight.I mean poured.

Afterward, we had a little standing water, but a day later everything was dry.I would have loved for them to have run a longer ditch and some buried perforated pipe to get rid of ALL of the water. But the reality is, this solution cleared 90% of the water from a TERRIBLE storm. It would’ve cost me double to get that last 10% cleared. That 10% almost doesn’t matter.

You don’t need to hop between books to “see” what each book says about a topic.Choose the book you like and stick with it.

Since we are so conveniently speaking of books, The Final Step is not a review book.It covers NO content. TFS is rapid-fire questions with NO explanations. That isn’t the point. The point of TFS is to cover a ton of material as quickly as possible, using scientifically proven principles to make sure you don’t forget the critical information.

“Does it cover everything?” you ask.

Nope, not even close.

Covering everything is the total opposite goal of this book.It covers THE MOST IMPORTANT things as QUICKLY as possible and screws them down into your brain.

The Holiday sale ends TODAY.Wipe the cinnamon roll off your face, put down the hot chocolate, and head over to the computer (or phone) to order your copy.Until tonight at midnight you get 20% off the book, plus EIGHT BONUS videos I’m releasing only to members of this sale.

Type in the discount code “holiday” at checkout, and you’ll be good to go. I’m sending the videos out manually, so they won’t hit your inbox until I get back to my computer later this weekend.
