What can we do to be most helpful to the world and the ones we love as the storm approaches?
For one, we can make sure everyone we know and care about is fully prepared for the storm that’s going to hit sometime around the middle of April. For some areas of the country, it’s happening now; for others it’ll happen a little later, but that’s about right as a country, based on current estimates.
When I say make sure they are ready, I mean mentally as much as physically. Yes, having extra food on hand is great, but you also want to make sure people are mentally prepared that this social distancing thing might last a while and that we might lose a fair number of people. My goal isn’t to cause pain. It’s to make sure they go in with their eyes wide open.
Next, we can continue to do the things we do and the things we need to do. What that means for you is learning. Learning medicine and learning to care for people. It means studying to pass your PANCE. It means continuing to learn to learn.
For me, that means helping you do all of that. That means sharing ideas and philosophies that will get you through this period. The April issue of Physician Assistant Exam Scholars does that in a way I’ve never done before. Not only do I cover as many tricks, tips, and techniques as I can fit into the lovely pages of the Newsletter, but I stormed ahead and created a video series to more than double the content in the Newsletter.
Instructions to access that video series is going to be snuggled right in the April issue. This video series makes April probably the most valuable month ever to be a member. I will release it in a week or so to the general community but it will certainly cost more than it does now as it is as a free bonus for PAES members.
Tonight is the night.
