One of the best players on the baseball team I coach has committed three errors on three plays in the outfield over the past few games. A missed pop up, a ground ball to him that rolled to the fence, and a line drive right at him that bounced off his glove and rolled to the fence giving up two runs.
He’s got talent. He can catch a fly ball and he can stop a ground ball. What’s the story?
He doesn’t get the results he wants and doesn’t get the results his parents know he’s capable of.
Sound familiar???
