Speed reading through your exams

One of the biggest reason people fail the exam is speed.  They run out of time.  

Here are three ways to make you a faster test taker

1) Practice with a timer. You have one minute per question. Know what that feels like BEFORE test day. You need to FEEL the pressure

2) Read more and read faster. I’ve taken a few speed reading courses of the year, and it isn’t a bad idea considering all the reading you have to do, but even if you don’t want to do that there’s an easy fix. Read more. The muscles that control your eyes get tired and sore like every other muscle in your body.  The more you exercise them, the longer and faster they will work for you.

3) Know your key terms. Key terms will jump off the page and highlight themselves if you know them giving you speed and a little breathing room on the exam. Identifying key terms will have you flying through your exam.
