This week the guys over at focus@will gave me a discount code so that you can get 15% off anything you buy with them.
I was like great! I’ll let everyone know. And I was trying to come up with ways to tell you how awesome the service is. I pulled up my account and checked when I got a lifetime subscription.
It turns out I’ve had my lifetime subscription since July of 2015. I’m still using focus@will almost everyday. I think I got my moneys worth. Here’s just a little of how and when I use it.
* When I don’t feel like doing work I put it on. I’m suing Oct Beta Test right now. Super upbeat and drowns out everything around me. There’s an Uptempo channel that’s really similar
* Last night I was in the tub (pulled muscle) and I could hear the kids pounding up and down the stairs. Not that releaxing. I put on Propeller Drone and closed my eyes for the next 20 minutes. (Thank you to my wife for dealing with the kiddos)
* When I can’t sleep there’s the water channel
* They have a little quiz to tell you what channel you might like best and Alpha chill was at the top of y list. I usually flip between that and upbeat when I really have work to do. Unless I’m in a coffee shop
*If I’m in a coffee shop I put on the coffee shop channel. It’s the nosies of a busy coffee shop in the background, without anything distracting. It is fantastic!
* I do a lot of writing, and I would say 90% of it is done with focus@will
There’s a slew of other channels to test out like Classical Plus, Baroque Piano and ADHD type 1. You’ll have to try them out and see, but the 2 week trial makes that possible.
I’ve found looking for playlists both time consuming and disappointing. In a pinch I’ll go on youtube and make something work, but I’m always disappointed. These guys put this stuff together for the sole purpose of helping you work.
