Now, how about this for a highfalutin name – the Cognition and Memory in Education Learning Lab.
Wow, that’s a mouthful. Anyway, one of the things you’ll find in issue #2 of the PAES newsletter is the head of that fancy place that studies nothing, but memory and learning has demonstrated the two most powerful techniques in memory research. Astounding and simple to implement.
Some of my other favorites you’ll find in The First Ten Issues PA Week Package.
In issue #3, you’ll learn how to avoid thinking the awful words I’ve heard too many times “No one will hire a new grad.” That’s simply not true. They’re letting you down easy. Don’t fall for it. I’ll show how to never even let that enter the conversation. They’ll be begging to bring you in.
In issue #6, I cover everything you need to know on test day. From keeping yourself calm and avoiding Panic Loops to managing your time and your energy.Even if your years away from your PANCE, the sooner you start practicing these tactics, the better.
In issue #7, I’ll show you how to take transient knowledge and turn it into durable knowledge. Transient knowledge is a friend’s address. Durable knowledge is the address of your childhood home. There’s a big difference when you need that information.
My favorite part of issue #8 is a technique demonstrated by Harvard researches that boosted test scores by 22.8% on final exams. It had the test subjects studying LESS than the control group. It’s hard to implement only because it’s so counterintuitive. If you can get over that, it’ll save you time and get you higher grades.
There’s so much in there I don’t want to fill your inbox here today, but you are running out of time. When PA weekends I’m going to lock the vault, and who knows if it ever opens again.
