Things are a little different here this week. Normally every weekday you get an email from me highlighting an idea, a philosophy, a technique or a resource that I believe will help you on your journey.
This week we’re going to focus on resources. In particular resources from the PAs who contributed to our awesome ultimate package giveaway.
First up is Lara who was an ER PA until she got fed up with a common problem. Scrubs and white coats that fit terribly. Our hospital just merged with Penn, and they ordered us all new white coats, and they are awful! I wouldn’t usually care, but I’m in a medium, and it looks like it should be my dads.
She makes me laugh though when she talks about scrubs and trying to keep them up with the drawstring. It either slides, and your pants are always falling down ( I have one surgeon who uses a hemostat to keep them up) or it sticks so much that after a 6-hour case you’re pretty sure you’re just gonna have to pee your pants because the knot won’t come undone.
Lara’s created a better solution. Her company, Medelita, is an apparel company for healthcare professionals. They make BETTER coats and scrubs. Her point is that you have to be in these things all day every day. Why not get something that fits, something that you feel a little better wearing. Makes sense to me.
Lara is gracious enough to be giving away a $200 gift card to the winner of our giveaway. If you haven’t signed up yet get on ever and do that now. These things are sweet.
Just for entering the giveaway you get a BONUS 10-minute video I recorded on what to do the day before the test. AND if you get one other person to sign up, you’ll get the rough draft version of the all-new cardiology chapter for The Final Step as an added BONUS
(That chapter isn’t finished just yet, but it will be in the next week or so. I’ll be in touch with everyone who’s eligible and let you know when it’s coming.)
