Recovering from mistakes

Tons of emails come in with people talking about mistakes, issues they’ve had, problems they’re going through.

I was reading an excellent book this morning and came across an old idea: You are not your mistakes. You are not your failures. You are also not your successes. You are you.

You will have failures and you will have success, but you will still be you. You are a success the minute you are striving towards a worthwhile goal.

That’s it.

Try holding on to your successes the way you hold on to your mistakes. You’ll be exactly as accurate as you were before, but you’ll be much happier.

One of the reasons I wrote The Final Step was to give you quick wins. Fast successes that you can hold onto and use to build your confidence. Confidence is a key component to your future success.
