Questions right from TFS

Can you answer these?

  1. What is the only curative therapy for gastric adenocarcinoma?

  2. What is a good beta blocker to reduce portal HTN?

  3. A waxy stuck on appearance should make you think of what diagnosis?

  4. What is the medical treatment for an early ectopic pregnancy?

  5. A Salter-Harris type III fracture affects what area of the bone?

One of the things I did when I wrote The Final Step is to break it up into two sections. Section A has the question broken out by topic. Section B is the same questions but all mixed together.

I took these five questions right out of section B. The point is to confuse your brain. Make it a little harder. When you start, you should use section A and know the answer by topic, but as you get better, you should mimic the exam where you don’t get a clue about what section you’re in.
