One of the things that’s so much fun about hosting this giveaway is that the prizes come from such a great community.
Andrew and Stephen have been helping people pass their exams almost as long as I have. They were the ones who started PA podcast numbers two and three and they’re still going. Lots of people come and go.I’ve heard that most podcasts disappear after just SEVEN EPISODES. It’s not easy to keep up, but these two have been crushing it for YEARS.
What I love about their work is how we all have taken different approaches to helping the same community. We all focus on passing the PANCE or the PANRE, but what we do is very different.
Stephen at ThePALife.com has fantastic review materials. He gives tons of it away for free and charges a pittance for the things he does charge for (I think he’s nuts). SmartyPANCE is his flagship review program and that, my good friends, is what he’s offered to toss onto the prize heap. He also has a slew of information for the prePAs too: help with applications, interviews, essays, and what-not.
Andrew at Medgeeks.co is killing it in a bunch of different ways. He’s been putting together great content for passing the PANCE, but he’s also been doing so much more. One of the things that totally impresses yours truly is that he’s got programs for actually practicing medicine.Yes folks, that’s right. He’s offered to include his program, “In The Know,” as part of our Grand Prize this week. That program is designed and produced to help clinicians keep up with the flood of information that continues after PA school, like new research and updated guidelines. If I practiced medicine (bleh, who wouldn’t choose surgery?), I’d be all over this one.But that’s not all. He’s got pharm courses (what? who puts one of those together?) and even a Medgeeks.co suture kit.
On the other hand, I focus on test taking, learning, study habits, and the like.I think it’s funny how we’ve all slipped into slightly different areas of helping PAs.Anyway, what I think is funny is hardly important. What’s important is that these very generous gentlemen have agreed to contribute to the prizes I’m giving away this week.
