This question came in, and I’m certain that Ada isn’t the only one wondering about this.

Hi Brian,
I was wondering if this issue is discussing the financial aspect more from a “new grad” or is it applicable to those who have been in the field longer with debt?
Thanks so much!

That depends. Are you crotchety and stuck in your ways? Can you adapt knowledge and information from one setting to another?
Allow me to give an example:
Since I’m writing emails every day and the newsletter every month, I figured I should learn more about writing and storytelling. Two years ago, I was in Five Below buying floaty pool toys (we were in Florida on vacation for the week). While wandering the store waiting for my kids to choose the perfect color water gun, I happened upon a book on drawing comics by the great Stan Lee. Is it possible I could learn something from the creator of Spider-Man, The Avengers, the Fantastic Four, X-Men and the entire Marvel Universe about story telling?
Was the book about writing? Nope. Not one word about writing. It was all about pencil lines, shapes, and vanishing points. But I easily got a $1,000 course on writing out of a $5 book on drawing.
I usually write for the student / new grad, but that is just perspective because I have to write for someone. The ideas in this book in particular are valuable to anyone who wants more money and is tired of student loan debt. Now, the more established crowd will poo-poo some of the ideas as beneath them of course. “I refuse to bend down and pick up that one hundred dollar bill. It’s on the ground and might be dirty.”
Most of the issue is dedicated to things I’m currently doing to create ever bigger piles of money and things I wish I’d done (that would have been easy at the beginning) on day one.
This book is easily the most VALUABLE thing I’ve produced to date. No question about it, if you’re measuring dollars and cents. Whether you’re saving lives and making the world a better place, or training to one day, this book has the power to create dangerous changes in your life.
