5. A women presents to the emergency department with bloody vaginal discharge. During your history you discover that she is 10 weeks pregnant. She does not recall any other discharge. On physical exam the external os is closed. U/S shows a viable fetus with a heart rate of 175 beats/min. What is the most likely outcome for this patient?
- She will carry her baby to term and deliver without complication
- She will have a miscarriage in the next several days
