Panicking PA has a question

I get emails all the time from people freaking out. Don’t worry, you aren’t alone.

Michelle wrote in with a bit of a conundrum.

Brian,

I have to take the PANRE and I’m panicking. Where do I even begin?

Start with the blueprint. You can get it from www.NCCPA.net. Save the PDF or print it out. Look over the topics. There are about 14 of them. Decide how long you want to spend on each. It’s kind of a guess. I get that, but you have to start somewhere. Then add in a week to rest and recover before your exam. I normally recommend 2-3 months of prep for the PANRE. Longer than that and you start forgetting more than you start learning.

Next, register for the exam and get that clock ticking. Nothing inspires action like a deadline.

Then, get yourself a solid review book. I recommend the O’Connell book to learn what you need to learn.

Lastly, get yourself a copy of The Final Step to really make it all stick in your brain for test day.

You’ve got this.
