In the first issue of 2022, we’re focusing on skills. Skills you can improve to make yourself a better student, a much better student. You’re drowning in content and everyday there’s more. You’re always behind and can’t figure out how to swim. Here’s the deal: You swim by learning and improving skills.
If you continue to flail about, you will drown. If you can manage to relax and think through what’s happening, you just might have a shot of getting to the surface for a little oxygen.
I don’t have a life preserver for you. That’s not what you’ll find in the January issue. I can’t do it for you. What I do have is a very important step on the way to learning how to swim.
We’re going to cover the best skills to develop as you move through PA school. I’ll tell you two of them right here:
– Test-Taking
– Reading
I’ve got an incredibly simple, but incredibly difficult tip for you to boost your test scores by HUGE numbers. After working with PA students for over 10 years, I know what takes the majority of them down and I can show you how to fix it. Like I said, it isn’t easy. It won’t take up ANY of your time, but it will take you months to perfect.
How about reading? What could be more important for a student than improving reading skills? Do you think you’re the best you can be? Of course not. Reading skills are a huge factor for students. They come into play in two big ways. First, as you study. Are you getting as much as you could out of the time you spend reading? Second, and this was a big factor for me, is on test days. There is a lot to read and understand and you have to do it fast and with precision.
My little guy routinely scores lower on his test then he should because he makes up his own questions. He doesn’t read what’s in front of him. He reads the first few words and jumps to a conclusion about what the question is probably asking. There are tons of pitfalls like that. I’m going to show you just one method for improving your reading that will both speed you up and help you with retention. This method will take you no time to implement. It will take a bit to make it a habit, but getting started could not be any easier.
I’m look forward to 2022 like no other year in my life. The reason is because I know how much I’m going to grow. I know at the end of 2022 I won’t be the same person I was in 2021. If you’re looking to grow with me, then the January issue is the place to commit and get started.
But you’re running out of time…
