A few weekends ago, I shot an email asking for help with writing yee old newsletter. I’m using cardiology to demonstrate how you can learn things faster than most people. How you can retain them longer. How when you go back to relearn them you’re not starting from scratch, but you can pick up the pace quite a bit. Skim it and now it the second time thought. (Unfortunately, you have to learn things multiple times since we forget after the medicine final, but need it all again for the PANCE)
Anyway, I got a ton of suggestions for topics that people want to vomit before studying. I can’t thank everyone individually, but I want to take just a second and say thank you to everyone who wrote in. I read them all and really appreciate it.
Most of the recommendations looked like this.
* Different types of arrhythmias with their signs and symptoms.
* I have to keep relearning murmurs and ECG strips.
* I struggle with identification of heart murmurs — reciprocal lead changes on EKG (hard to remember which are paired).
* Murmurs murmurs murmurs!!!
* Heart blocks on EKG especially left and right bundle branch blocks and the anti arrhythmic drugs!!
* Murmurs and first line meds for each arrhythmia
I can’t tackle everything, but I can show you how to take some of the most difficult content an break it down. You can look write over my shoulder, and I tear into cardiology. I just finished a book on how to draw Marvel Characters, and it all comes down to stick figures. Amazing but true.
That’s what we’re doing this month in PAES. Taking cardiology down and making it like drawing stick figures. What’s even better I’m going to show you how to do it for any topic.
But don’t delay. Wait to the last minute, and this issue will be gone. Learn it here
