Those huge piles of study material are such a mess I don’t even know where to begin.
Piles and piles of review material don’t help you. All this stuff does is take up space and create anxiety for all of the things you haven’t covered in all of the books you could go through. There’s no way you’re going to go through all of those piles. If you finish reviewing a topic in one book, you get paranoid about what another book might say about that same condition. What about a third book??? Ahhhh!!!!????? Then you’re frozen, which is the worst possible outcome.
The moral of the story is that you need a plan. Don’t just buy resources. Don’t just accept free resources. They’ll make you more anxious and won’t be helpful. Choose how each new resource fits into your plan.
One of the reasons I wrote The Final Step is because I couldn’t find it out there. I was looking for a resource that didn’t seem to exist. I was looking for a book filled with short questions that would help me to remember things by using the testing effect and spaced repetition techniques. (You don’t have to know what those are, just know that they help and that I designed TFS with them in mind.)
I didn’t need another review book or a more-detail book. I needed quick questions which is precisely where The Final Step fits in.
