Wish your test were already behind you? Wish you had already passed this thing? Wish that you didn’t have to take it at all?
Or
Have you decided to pass it? Have you decided to crush it and get a move on with your life?
Wishing & hoping vs. Deciding
There’s incredible power in deciding to do something. There is no power in being dragged along, trying to do a thing because you’re “supposed to.”
You can spend years dreaming about losing weight with no results. Failure after failure. Then once you DECIDE to lose weight, nothing can stop you. The difference is unbelievable, and you can see examples of it everywhere.
It isn’t ability or knowledge. There are plenty of books out there on how to be fit and rich. There are plenty of books out there on how to pass your PANCE. It isn’t about content knowledge. It’s about making a decision and devoting all of your energy to it.
I have plenty of projects that are languishing because I’m dreaming about them. I haven’t decided deep down to do them. I’d love to do them. I wish every night to start working on them. I even write them down on my to do list all the time, but they are no closer to being done.
I can’t tell you how to flip that switch. I’m not always sure how to find it. I don’t know where it is. I do know that once you decide, once you choose to do it, everything gets so much easier and nothing can stop you.
Once you decide to do something about remembering all the medicine you need to know, then (and only then) get yourself a copy of The Final Step. Why not get it sooner? Because it isn’t a paper weight. I don’t want the book I wrote languishing on your desk in a pile of unused books. I want it covered in notes, creased, and torn. I want it to have coffee and soup stains on it.
