It’s a little obvious to say that this is a nice time to focus on gratitude, on being grateful. But it’s true – it is a good week to reflect. I know school can be tough. I understand long hours and long days can be downright depressing. I get when it’s all falling down around you but consider the people who didn’t get to where you are. Consider for a second that there are thousands of people who’d be happy to trade places with you.
That doesn’t make it better. But it does put things into a little perspective. You are fortunate. You have worked hard, and you are making progress. You’ve got this. It isn’t easy but you’ve got this.
I heard again this morning from someone who has failed the PANCE, not once but twice. That’s a sucky place to be, but I also just heard form a guy who has timed out and can’t take his PANCE without going back to school.
Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t be tired. That doesn’t mean you can’t get down. But only for a little bit at a time. Only for a few minutes or a day or two. Then remember to be grateful for the things you do have.
I was reading book on budgeting and personal finance last week and one of the highlighted quotes was: “There are lots of people who are happy with less than you have.”
Anyway, I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who sent in contributions to the December issue of PAES. It came to together really well if I do say so myself. The December issue is packed with tips from the community. Contributions that you guys thought were important to share. It was tough to squeeze as many in as I could, but I think you’re gonna love this issue. It was a lot of fun to write and you’ll see why when you get it.
If you’re not a member of PAES, I’d recommend you hustle on over and pick up this issue. It’s a great starting point. Click that link right there.
