There are lots of testing centers. Lots of places you can take this thing.
For my first PANRE, I went ahead and took the day off from work, had everything set, and then I waited. And waited. And WAITED to book my test. I have no idea why. Maybe it was a dumb, mental thing where I didn’t believe I was actually going to take it. Who knows? Clearly the elephant was in charge that day.
So, when I finally went to register, the 3 closest places to take the exam where all completely full. Arrgggh! So dumb.
I wound up having to drive 90 minutes to a place I was totally unfamiliar with. I could have taken the darn thing 5 minutes from my job. A super easy low-stress ride that I do every single day. Instead, I did 90 miles down the PA turnpike and had no clue where I was going.
Second thing, book it for early in the day. First thing if you can. This test is exhausting. Almost everyone, I’d say 95% of people, will have more mental capacity and willpower first thing in the morning. If you’re an outlier, OK fine take it in the afternoon, but I still think it’s a mistake.
Book it for first thing in the morning when your brain is functioning at peak capacity. Remember, the trick here is having your brain in tip-top shape. You wouldn’t schedule a marathon for 3pm, so why would you schedule your test for then? You’d be putting yourself in a bad position.
Ok, so schedule it early and schedule it early, lol.
