Failed twice

I was answering emails a few days ago and this one came in.

===

Hello Brian Wallace,

Hope this email finds you well. My name is [redacted] and I have been a fan/following your podcasts since didactic year of PA school. However, I am reaching out to you because I have now failed my PANCE twice and I am at a loss of what to do. Do you offer one on one tutoring at all?

===

I replied that I do not do one-on-one tutoring, but I did direct this person to the resources I do have available to people who fail the exam.

Then I moved on to the next email.

You may not believe it, but this was it.

Brian,

First off let me just say thank you!! You have an amazing platform, concept and product. I was struggling to pass the PANCE after school, I spent many, MANY, hours studying from my notes and books from school and still managed to fail my first (and second) attempts. I had heard of your podcast but managed to forget through the hustle and bustle at the end of school. A friend reminded me about it and I started listening through the entire catalogue of current and past shows focusing on topics I had struggled with. Another friend suggested the final step, we studied for many hours together with this as well. These are both such amazing resources, I am very pleased to say I have since passed my PANCE! Breaking concepts down into key ideas and terms was super helpful for me. I have strongly suggested both of these to all of my current PA student friends. Again, thank you for helping me prepare for my exam and finally becoming a PA-C!!

Jeff

I laughed out loud when I saw that. I immediately forwarded this email to the person who wrote the first one.

I thanked Jeff for his kind words, and congratulated him on his success.

The point I’m trying to make here is that the material works. I wouldn’t still be here 10 years later if it didn’t.

A few lessons here from Jeff: One is use the podcast. It’s there for you. Another is SHARE THE SHOW. Remind your friends and your class that the podcast is there for you. I put it out there to help you succeed in PA school and pass your PANCE. Use it and tell other people about it.

Lastly, get yourself a copy of The Final Step use it and tell your friends about it.

Thanks again Jeff.
