Over the past two weeks I’ve realized how few of my emails are getting through. Not these emails. Not the ones that go out every morning, but the ones that I send to people personally.
People who ask questions or people who want to do group orders. People who have signed up for coaching, and then I can’t get in touch with them. For a while, I figured most people were just flakes. They get caught up in their own stuff and don’t respond. That’s cool. I get it, but I ain’t in the business of tracking people down who have asked me for advice.
Then this week it became really obvious for a number of reasons that the issue was on my end. It seems the company I use to host the website, and therefore the email, is not the best at getting emails delivered. Because of the way they do business, it turns out it’s easy for my emails to get lumped into the people junk or spam folders, even if we’re in the middle of a back and forth conversation, and then there’s no way for me to get in touch with you.
These emails, the daily ones, go out through a completely different service, so they don’t seem to be affected.
So that’s probably been the case for about a year or so without me knowing it, and it’s been really bad for the past 2 months. I had a group order where the entire school blocked my emails, so I had to finagle things to get them the digital material. We got it done of course, but it took a little longer and they all thought I flaked out.
Anyway, I say all this to say that if you were expecting a reply from me and didn’t get it, check your junk folder. If you’re not a Welcomed Guest and a Member or the Scholars program, then there is a good chance I didn’t reply. (I’m trying to cut down on the time I spend in email, so that I have more time available for helping those in the Scholars program)
But if we were having a conversation and I seem to disappear, or if you’d like to set up a group order for your cohort, reach out to me. I’m setting up a new system as I write this that should, fingers crossed, make communication a bit easier.
Thank you for your patience.

P.S. Because of this and a few other technical issues, I’ve pushed back my big plans to next week, so stay tuned. Next Wednesday we’ll have the big reveal!
