Thanks Brian. The book did arrived and I love it. It works great for how I learn and it is something I’ve looked for since I started PA school. I appreciate it. I also downloaded the PDF to my computer so I’m good to go. I do have one question, are at least some of the questions on the boards going to be in this format that is straight forward or will they all be “the patient presents with” type questions? Either way, you cover all of the major topics from what I can see and I know that if I can get all of this material down I’ll enter the exam with a wealth of knowledge. Thanks again.
p.s. The podcasts are great and I’m just having to play catch up right now. Great for my commute to clinic everyday.

TFS is made up of one-step questions. Straightforward questions with one answer. They are specifically designed not to be like the PANCE. PANCE questions can be long and drawn out. The Final Step is designed to use the testing effect to help you remember more information. That means quick thinking and lots of it. Not lot’s of reading and pondering.
That being said you will be shocked and excited to see questions exactly like what I’ve written in The Final Step. There will be a few on the exam that you will be like “holy smokes, this is exactly what I saw in that amazing review book.” How do I know they’ll be there? Because lots of people have written me almost those exact words and I’ve taken the exam three times now. There won’t be a lot of them, but they will be there.
Second, and this is the key, the one-step questions in The Final Step are the “building blocks” for 2- and 3-step questions. What I mean is that the longer PANCE questions are really just one step questions put together. The information is buried and you have to dig it out a little, but at its core it’s what I present in The Final Step.
On the exam, you will have to do some digging to find those unpolished diamonds in such long paragraphs, but you’ll know exactly what you’re looking for.
Once you find them, polishing them will be easy-peasy.
Get started recognizing and polishing those rough diamonds with The Final Step.
