Resolutions suck. They don’t work.
“I’d love to get in shape in 2022.“
BS
I accomplished something this year that I have never, ever been able to do. It’s been on my “goals” list for probably 15 years. No joke.
What is it?
Touch my toes. I’ve never been able to get close. Barely past my knees. I was a fit kid. Played three sports and what not, but my hamstrings are crazy tight. I never got the Presidential Physical Fitness award because the sit and reach was a complete zero for me.
I could run the mile. I could do the sit ups. I could do the pulls ups. My shuttle run time was great. I just couldn’t get to my toes.
Well, about two weeks ago, I did a happy dance around my kitchen. I made my oldest come upstairs to be my witness. With straight knees, I bent down and touched my toes. It was amazing!!!!
Sounds like a small deal until you remember that I’ve been TRYING to that for… wow thirty years. Yes, I’m 42 and I was probably 12 when I failed that sit and reach.
Thirty years.
What changed in 2021?
I got to work. I stopped trying, and I decided. It’s so simple and so incredibly difficult.

Do you want to be a better student in 2022 than you were in 2021?
I think… no, I know you can be. I know you’ve got ridiculous potential. I know that you can take what you’ve got and 10x it. There is no question about it.
Let’s get to work. The January issue of Physician Assistant Exam Scholars is coming fast. It’s going to help you get your year started right by grounding your feet and giving you a solid foundation in studying principles.
No, my friend, the formula isn’t read – highlight – reread.
There is a lot more to it.
Let me show you, and let’s make 2022 unbelievable.
