The short answer is no. The long answer is yes. Let me explain
No, you probably don’t need a review course. You probably know enough to pass the PANCE. (If you’re taking the PANRE, my answer is different – yeah, you probably need a review course)
You’ve been studying for a few YEARS now, and you most likely have all the content you could ever need to pass the PANCE.
However, I do think everyone should take a review course.
“What? I thought I you just said I shouldn’t take a course.”
No, what I said was that you don’t need a course if you’re looking for content.
Review courses provide you with much more than content. If you’ve been part of the community here for any length of time, you know that medical content alone is not enough to pass the exam. One of the biggest bits you need is confidence. I believe that review courses are the easiest way to buy confidence.
It’s like kids who think they can run faster in new shoes or hit farther with a new bat.
Here’s a little secret. They can. They absolutely run faster with new shows and hit harder with a new bat. It doesn’t have anything to do with the bat or the shoes. It has everything do with how these trinkets make them feel.
When you walk into your exam, you don’t want any excuses. You want to say I did everything I could to be ready. That builds confidence in yourself. This is where a review course can make all the difference.
Now if you’re looking for something a little less comprehensive and a little speedier, then The Final Step is the way to go. I’ll have something a little more like a review course for you in June, but for now, nail down your most important facts with The Final Step.
And yes, it’s a real print book, just like the good old days. Amazing! Click that link down there to get your copy.
