1. What is the only curative therapy for gastric adenocarcinoma?
2. What is a good beta blocker to reduce portal HTN?
3. A waxy stuck on appearance should make you think of what diagnosis?
4. What is the medical treatment for an early ectopic pregnancy?
5. A Salter-Harris type III fracture affects what area of the bone?
One of the things I did when I wrote The Final Step is to break it up into two sections. Section A has the question broken out by topic. Section B has the same questions, but they’re all mixed together.
I took these five questions right out of section B. The point is to confuse your brain. Make it a little harder. When you start, you should use section A and know the answer by topic, but, as you get better, you should mimic the exam where you don’t get a clue about what section you’re in.
The Final Step Second edition will be available on Thursday 6/17/21 and it is HUGE!!! Now with over 2,000 questions!!!
Now, here’s the catch. It will be available on 6/17, but I’m only making 200 copies available. When they are gone, they’re gone. That could be Thursday 6/17. That could be Sunday 6/20. No way to tell. No matter what I’m shutting down sales of the book on Sunday night.
Why?
TFS 2.0 has been read and re-read what feels like hundreds of times, but I’m going to want feedback from the initial users to make sure its 100%. My estimate is that right now it’s 99.5% right. I’m sure I’m missing a few capitalizations and a period or two. If the questions are 99.5% correct, that still leaves me with 20 questions that have a problem.
If the possibility of an inappropriate period freaks you out, you might want to wait on version 2.1. Though I can’t say for sure when that will be coming… (if ever, I’ve got a few ideas to break out the whole things. Not sure yet.) Anyway…
