You are here: Home / Study Tips / But I can’t memorize things…

But I can’t memorize things…

Uh, yes you can. Pretty simple.

What you’ve got is learned helplessness. You’ve decided in advance that you can’t do a thing, so then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You absolutely can memorize things. There may be a few pieces missing that make it hard for you, but it isn’t that you can’t do it. Your IQ isn’t 72.Not if you’ve gotten this far. You can memorize your phone number, your address…You can memorize things.

My entire life I told myself that I’m terrible with people’s names. Horrible, I can’t remember them.

After coaching soccer and baseball for a few years, I realized that I’d been lying to myself, giving myself a “free” pass, one that was costing me a lot.

“How did I realize this coaching kids’ sports?” Within two practices, I know every kid on the team’s name. No problem. What’s the difference? Interest and focus. Without a doubt, I can memorize tons of things. I choose to look the other way and not bother.

You too can memorize, and not only can you, but should you as it’s the key to passing your exams. Sorry, but the tests aren’t open book.

You’ve heard of the learning curve, but most of you haven’t heard of the forgetting curve. That’s the period during which you forget the information you’ve learned. You’ve experienced it, but you didn’t know it had a fancy name. There are also tools you can use to break right through that curve, and I’ll show them to you.

For years the best resource to manage the forgetting curve was The Final Step. I’m excited to announce that that is no longer the case.

Next week I’m going to be revealing The Final Step 2.0!

It’s been reworked and I’ve added a ton of questions. It used to be great, but now it is awesome! I can’t wait for you to see it.

The fastest way to get a copy (and the only way to get a free copy) is to win one this week. This week I’m hosting a giveaway – I’m giving away two copies of The Final Step 2.0.You’ll have it in your hot little hand before ANYONE else.(Even my mom doesn’t have a copy yet)

Click that link right down there to enter the contest. It gets shut down late tomorrow night, so hurry.
