Bloody Awful Advice

When you’re struggling in school, what do you hear from 99% of people?

“Put in more time. Work harder”

You’ve already decided that sleep is optional. How much more time and work can you put in? Really? There is no candle left to burn at all let alone at both ends. The wax is all over the floor, and, even if you had a candle, you’re out of matches.

Try this one on, “I’ve been digging this hole with this sharp stick here, and I don’t feel like I’m making good progress.”

“Put in more time. Work harder.”

Hmm….

Think about this for a second. Do you think Jeff Bezos works much harder than you do? Do you think that guy making $12 an hour pouring concrete doesn’t work as hard as you?

Hard work is necessary, but it isn’t enough. Everyone goes home tired. Everyone works hard. If you want to keep moving you have to, but working hard is step one.

You need to move onto step two.

If you’re digging a hole with a sharp stick, what would happen if someone handed you a shovel? Or how about a big giant hole digging machine?

You’d be like, “HOLY CRAP! Why the F*C$ didn’t anyone tell me about his before?”

I just finished reading “The Boy who a Harnessed the Wind.” The premise is about a boy living in an unthinkably poor village in Africa who, by checking two books out of the library, taught himself enough about electricity to build a windmill and be the only home in his entire village with a working lightbulb.

About a year later, he was “discovered” and whisked off to a TED conference to speak and share his experience. His description of going from two books to the INTERNET stopped me in my tracks.

We all think we see the world, but, if you’ve never seen a shovel, how would you know about it?

Here’s an example for students.

In almost every single conversation I’ve had with people, whether in school or getting ready for the PANRE, I hear the same complaint about time. Have you used that complaint? Did you use it today?

Most people operate using this equation.

Time spent = Work accomplished

If you’re using that equation, you will NEVER have enough time. It’s like digging a whole with a stick.

I’ve got the shovel for you. There’s a solution to this problem that’s going to blow your mind, and just like using the shovel you can start immediately making life better. Right now. Today.

Until Saturday, I’m hosting a crazy sale on Maximize Your Time and Efficiency. The course that has helped hundreds of PA students find more time, study better, and blow up their test scores.

Let’s get you moving faster, today. Let’s get your scores up AND save you tons of time. There’s a bigger world out there. I promise.
