I’m taking the day off, and I recommend you do too. Recharge and take nap. You’ve been killing it for months and today is a day well deserved. Breathe.
Today is light-hanging day around my house and I’m getting smarter every year. The lights came down from the attic last weekend. I ran my Black Friday Sale last week, so no craziness of trying to run a sale AND hang out with my kids and hang lights.
If you’ve never done it, hanging lights with a 9- and 11-year-old is not exactly the most soothing thing for your nerves. Throw a big sale on top of that and you have a recipe for a very unhappy house. Not this year. This year, I’m planning for smooth sailing. It won’t go that way of course, but it’ll at least be somewhat better.
So, enjoy your day off. Breathe. Use it to rest. A well-rested brain is worth far more than you think. Oh, one thing you should do if you haven’t already…
