Now more than ever, you’re in charge. Working from home means there aren’t as many people checking in on you. Fewer people seeing what you get done. That can create some major problems with motivation and getting through the work you need to get done.
I remember reading somewhere that even putting mirror on your desk will make you get more work done, due to the “feeling” of being watched. A group I belong to does Zoom working meetings. They have for years. Everyone hops on and does work. There isn’t any talking, just accountability.
A member of the PAER community has started doing this for PA students. I’ve only recently had the pleasure of meeting her, but so far, she seems pretty amazing. I reached out to her and she offered to work with people who’re interested in working together. Here’s her contact info. Give it a shot. It’s surprisingly helpful.

You need more than ever to manage yourself and how YOU function. You need to stay healthy and stay motivated.
The measure of a good person is often said to be what he does when no one is watching.
Keep up the good work, even if no one sees it.
Working at your kitchen table is hard. Working around the rest of your family is hard. Staying motivated while family and friends are lounging around isn’t easy, but you can do it. Let me help.

P.S. Because there’s so much to talk about this month, I just can’t fit it into one issue. But I don’t want to wait until May to get it out to you. It’s just too important right now. So what I’m doing is creating a course that I’ll release to the entire community in early April that’s going to help you get your sanity back and keep you on track. Members of PAES will get info on how to access that course as a special “free” bonus when they receive the April issue.
