I just wanted to thank you for the hard work you have done in preparing such a great manual for review, The Final Step. I have been a PA for 19 years this June, and have been in specialty cardiothoracic surgery for a while now. Everyone thinks we know most of the material on the Boards, but the reality is that unless you practice all facets of the PA role, it is easy to forget the details. The amount of detail that is required to recall is ever-growing. I did an online review course and found that the combination of the review course and The Final Step was a great recipe for going into the exam feeling prepared. I hope that in ten years when it’s that time again, your review books will still be available.
Regards,
FJS

I love this approach. I’ve spoken at length about using an online review course. They have a lot to offer and fill in tons of content in a really short amount of time.
The Final Step is a great compliment to any course.
One issue with courses is you try to blast through the content and hope it sinks in. Using the The Final Step along with the course will help you solidify the material you just covered.
When I was studying, I would go through a topic, then use The Final Step at the end (that’s where the title originally came from). I would then get up in the morning and use The Final Step on the chapter from yesterday again. Then I’d do another topic. But this time I’d review both topics in The Final Step.
You see how this way, the information builds. But using the book is pretty quick, so it doesn’t get overwhelming.
Man, FJS is smart.
You should probably take his advice and get yourself a copy of the book by following this link right down here:

P.S. If you’re at the point of ordering an online course, I used the Rutgers course for all three of my exams. I personally know most of the faculty and they nail the most relevant information. You can check it out here: https://www.mycme.com/pages/rutgers-pilot-panre-or-pance
