Moving into 2021, I’m putting a lot more time and energy into the Scholars program. In fact, I’m going to be putting a lot more time and energy into everything at PAER. I’ve got some fun things planned and a few things that are already slowly rolling out.
One of which is a new app I’m working on. It isn’t ready for the public just yet, but PAES subscribers will certainly be the first to get their hands on it and see all the fun stuff I’m going to bring right to the palm of your hand.
I’m in the process of making tons of improvements and launching a lot of new material in the next 13 months that is going to help get you through PA school, pass your PANCE, and land you a sweet, sweet job. That’s a high bar, but I’m confident I can hit it and more.
But, with that being said, I’m also holding you to a higher standard.
The PAER community has certain unwritten rules, and PAES has even more strict rules.
For the most part, this community is filled with fantastic people and PAES continues to be dominated by people who want to learn and grow. Just awesome people. As I spend more and more time in those communities, I plan on enforcing the “rules” of the community even more strictly.
What does that mean you ask?
For the most part, it’s pretty simple. If I’m spending more and more time in this community, I want it to be a community I enjoy spending time in. Subsequently, if you spend time in this community, I want it to be with people you enjoy spending time with. I don’t discriminate here based on political views, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.
I only discriminate based on one thing, behavior.
Allow me to demonstrate a case for which I was Judge, Jury and Executioner.

Could I please let me know how to cancel my subscription, because I didn’t receive my letter and seems like there is nobody to assist me or answer to my messages.
I am a student, and spend $30 monthly for nothing is too costly. I feel unfortunate for not being able to experience what this monthly subscription has to offer.
I really wanted to be part of your club, but I didn’t expect this level of customer support and service.
Thank you,

“This level of customer service and support.” Hmm. Me thinks following up on an email the day after It’s been received (on a Sunday) is pretty darn good.
Without a shred of remorse, I immediately canceled the subscription, refunded the previous month, and removed this individual from the email list.
I want this to be bright and thriving community. I want it to be a place you and I can be proud of. I want the members here to bring new ideas and learn new ideas. I want people to feel welcome and comfortable.
One of the reasons the scholars’ newsletter comes as a print version is to curate the people who are involved in that community. Selling it as a digital file would most certainly bring in more members, but for this particular program I would not want them. I’m not interested in just anyone getting the PAES newsletter. I want people who are going to use it. I don’t want people to simply add more stuff to their stacks of materials that they’ll never get through.
I don’t want members who will allow the newsletter to be files hidden away in a digital attic. No, sir. The information in there is far too valuable to keep hidden deep on your hard drive. I want it front and center delivered to your door to keep it right on our desk. Another reason is that you have to wait to get it. This deters the people who are just looking to buy buy buy their way through PA school. Those people don’t interest me. I want implementers, not buyers. Buyers will not read the material and then tell me it doesn’t work. Implementers will see that it works when they use it.
Anyway, I’ve gone on long enough for sure.
If you are interested in taking the next step, and you want to bring a spirit of growth and learning with you, I’d love to have you as a member of PAES. If you can learn and then implement, I’d love to have you as member of PAES.
Just a small heads up: 2021 is going bring some amazing things to PAES. I’d recommend you get in before now.
