Hi Brian,
I love your podcast, I wish I knew about it earlier. I’m a PA grad, I want your help in passing the PANCE. I know the content, but I’m not a good test taker, do you tutor in test taking skills? Is there anything you recommend I do that will help me pass the boards? The type of questions I get most confused with ” what is the next best management” or “what is the best test” (is the best test mean diagnostic or initial)?
Do you recommend any programs out there that I should do, also which questions bank do you think i should do, I have done rosh during my clinical year.
Thank you!

These break my heart. I have no doubt that this lovely individual is very smart and very driven. The problem is that they were running the wrong race and didn’t know it until it was too late.
They spent so much time on content that they neglected their skills. Learning is a skill. Studying for an exam is a skill. Test-taking is a skill.
I hear from truckloads of PA-Ss who, with a few simple skill upgrades, could be crushing it, but instead they flop and flounder. It breaks my heart. That’s one of the reasons I do what I do. That’s one of the reasons I created the Physician Assistant Exam Scholars Program.
Let me show you a few things, try them out, and see if it doesn’t make a difference.
The February issue focuses on studying. Studying the right way sets you up for test questions. I love working on test-taking skills, but first you need a foundation in studying for a test.
Let’s do it.
