The way I see it, the meaning of life is to get better, to improve. To improve yourself, your situation, to improve those around you and their situation.
The beauty of seeing the world that way is that it doesn’t matter where you start. It matters that you’re moving. Always getting better and moving forward. Always growing.
Success is not a fancy car. Success is not weighing ### pounds. Success is not finishing a marathon. Success is not $10,000,000 in the bank.
My favorite definition of success comes from Earl Nightengale, and it goes like this:
“Success is the progressive realization of a worthwhile goal.”
If you have a “worthwhile” goal and you are moving toward it, you are already successful. You’re already getting better.
Success is doing what you want to be doing and having chosen to do it.
You are a success right this very minute if your goal is to graduate from PA school and you are currently working toward that goal.
Of course, that also means that if you did not choose to be a PA, but are doing it because someone told you to, then even when you graduate you will not be a success.
For those of you whose goals are to graduate from PA school, getting your ears on the Physician Assistant Exam Review Podcast is an excellent way to work towards your goals.
