I believe in grinding it out. I believe in putting in the time and putting in the work. Why? Because there is no other way to get there.
Think of anyone you see with a small bit of success, and you can be sure they put a sh*t ton of time and energy in. Even the people that don’t look like it. You simply don’t get the Lamborghini without the work.
But there are two sides to that coin. I’ve told my manager at work several times that you couldn’t pay me enough to dig a ditch and then fill it in. I’m just not doing it.
Sadly, I think a lot of (myself included here) us spend A LOT of time digging holes that have no business being dug. We spend A LOT of time moving papers from one side of our desk to the other. We spin our wheels and complain that we are crazy busy and don’t have enough time because we are working so hard, but we never take a second to look at what we are working on.
Does it matter? Is it important, or are we just working?
